Physical therapy can consist of both passive (things done TO you) and active (things done BY you) treatments. Passive forms of treatment include modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, massage, cold/hot packs, etc.. Active therapy includes exercises to strengthen and stabilize injured areas, as well as to improve balance and coordination, and to prepare you for specific work or recreation activities.
In our San Antonio physical therapy facility, we tailor our treatment programs to the needs of the individual. For the purposes of symptom relief, we will initially focus on passive treatments to reduce pain and inflammation. As patients improve, we transition into the active forms of treatment in order to provide lasting results and to correct underlying functional problems that would result in a return of symptoms down the road.
Among the treatments we provide are:
- Electrical Muscle Stimulation
- Ultrasound
- Massage Therapy
- Mobilization
- Kinesio Taping
- Exercise Rehabilitation

- Every Patient In Our Office Receives The Personal Attention They Deserve.
Unlike some physical therapy clinics in San Antonio, you’re never “just a number” to us and you’ll never be left in the hands of poorly-trained assistants or simply left to figure out the exercise equipment on your own.
Physical therapy services are covered by most health insurance plans. Whether or not you have insurance, we will work with you to make your care affordable within your budget.
In addition to being a Masters-level physical therapist, our San Antonio director of physical therapy, Mark DeAnda, P.T. has considerable experience in the fitness field.
